Healthy Body

One of the most popular health resolutions is to hit the gym. Working out and getting in a sweat session can help you feel better, both physically and mentally.

As Anthem House residents, you have access to our very own gym and amenity space, perfect for your daily workout or taking an online fitness class. The gym is open 24 hours a day, so you can head down whenever you have time to squeeze in a workout. The space is decked out with tons of equipment, including Precor machines, Concept 2 Rowers, Ski Ergs, and more. Plus, you can enjoy dedicated strength and spinning rooms, or check out the group fitness room, complete with breathtaking harbor views.

Anthem Fit by Reflex is offering free virtual classes via Zoom to our residents. Their collection of fun, exciting workout programs is a fantastic way to stay in shape while having fun––without ever having to leave the building! Healthy Diet

A healthy lifestyle starts from the inside, so fueling your body with nutritious and delicious food is a key component of feeling great. But, we know that coming up with a meal plan and cooking fresh food everyday can be a lot of work––good thing there are so many great local Baltimore restaurants that make healthy eating easy!

In fact, one healthy option is just steps away! Pure Raw Juice, located right here at Anthem, makes amazing juices, smoothies and bowls. Made with only the freshest produce, their menu features mouth-watering options, like their popular acai bowls, cleansing green juices, tasty smoothies and more. Healthy eating doesn’t have to be boring! Every one of Pure Raw Juice’s creations is a pop of Insta-worthy color and refreshing, healthy flavor. They are currently taking to-go orders, so swing by and grab a juice, smoothie or bowl during your lunch break! Check out their Instagram page here for more.

Another great way to make healthy living easy is meal prep. That way, you can avoid the nightly struggle of “what am I going to have for dinner?” Your meal will be prepped ready to eat! There are some great meal prep companies that serve Baltimore, so prepared meals are delivered right to your door. It doesn’t get easier than that!

Jimmy's Famous allows you to “set it and forget it.” Simply select how many meals you want per week, whether you want to pick it up or have it delivered, and your preferred meal plan. Jimmy’s has options to customize based on your fitness goals, such as whether you want to bulk up or tone. Each week, they shake things up with a new menu, so you’ll never be bored. They offer keto and paleo-friendly plans, too!

Simply pop one of John’s Fit Meals into the microwave, and poof! You have a hot, delicious and healthy meal ready to go. Based right here in Maryland, John’s Fit Meals offers pre-portioned, pre-prepared meals made with wholesome and fresh ingredients. Their menu changes regularly to keep things interesting, with unique options like beef bulgogi, stuffed buffalo chicken peppers, teriyaki salmon bowls and more.

Prepared by Executive Chef Parker Greene at the Merritt Club, LM Prep meals are clean-cooked and made with locally sourced ingredients. Simply select your meals and a pick-up date, and you’re good to go. They offer keto, clean living, Mediterranean, plant-based and carb smart meals, so there’s something for everyone, no matter your dietary needs or preferences.

When Territory creates their meal prep recipes, they consult nutritionists and local chefs to ensure that you’re getting the highest quality in both nutrition and taste. Plus, they cater to paleo, Whole-30, keto, low carb, Mediterranean, vegetarian, vegan, mixitarian, plant-based and low-fat diets. When you order your meals, you can even see the macro information for each dish, so you know exactly what you’re getting and how it can fit into your fitness plan.

Healthy Mind

While lots of resolutions are centered around weight loss or dieting, it’s important to consider all aspects of health. With all of the turmoil of the past few months, you may be feeling more stressed or upset than usual. Taking extra steps towards mental self-care is another important way to feel healthier and happier in the new year. Try adding a mental health component to your New Year’s resolutions, like starting a habit of journaling or meditation.
