Memorial Day is a day of remembrance that occurs on May 29th, honoring and mourning U.S. military personnel who have died during service or from injuries sustained during battle. As a National Holiday, most individuals have an extended weekend for the holiday. If you are looking for something to keep you occupied during the long weekend, check out some of these destinations, all not too far from your home here at Anthem House. 

Cape Charles Beach

Located roughly 4 hours from Baltimore, Cape Charles Beach is the perfect getaway. You can spend most of your time at the beach, which has shallow waters and no waves. There are also tons of other activities to do, including tennis, golf, and a park. Cape Charles also offers many shops for souvenirs, art from local artists, and more. With so much to do, your weekend will be busy with fun activities all weekend long. 

Ocean City, MD

Just a three hour drive from Baltimore, Ocean City is full of fun activities and beautiful views to help you enjoy your weekend. Ocean City’s boardwalk features all classic boardwalk favorites, including a few amusement rides for all ages. If you want something a little more adventurous, check out fun activities, like tandem skydiving, jet skiing, and more. Rehoboth Beach

Lancaster
