Watch Baltimore Shimmer during Light City!

For the third consecutive year, Baltimore shines during Light City—a vibrant celebration of light, music, innovation, and social consciousness. During this sparkling festival, the Inner Harbor glistens with over twenty large-scale art installations, concerts, performing arts demonstrations, children’s activities, and specialty food and drinks from local vendors.

Light City is one of Baltimore’s most popular events, with more than 400,000 visitors on the books from 2017. This year’s festivities span three weekends, beginning April 6th – 8th with Neighborhood Lights, which showcases artistic projects and light displays in fourteen different neighborhoods.

Next is the BGE Light Art Walk, held April 14th – 21st, which follows the waterfront promenade around the Inner Harbor and Harbor East. Marvel at twinkling light attractions such as illuminated sculptures, flashing projections, and perception-bending interactive technologies.

Finally, come out to Labs@Light City, held April 18th – 21st. This groundbreaking series of innovation conferences explores how we can become a more equitable society together. The talks explore various themes, including art, education, food, green initiatives, health, and social justice.
