Celebrating Earth Day in Baltimore

Apr 11, 2022

Earth Day is celebrated for the health of our planet. It is a day where we invest in our planet and help keep it alive for generations to come. Earth Day can be celebrated anywhere by being green, but there are also events that can be attended here in Maryland.

The day after Earth Day, celebrate the birthday of Mr. Trash Wheel at the Baltimore Inner Harbor. At the party, you can receive birthday desserts, a limited edition fanny pack, and you can watch some live pythons courtesy of EcoAdventures! If you can’t attend, feel free to donate to Mr. Trash Wheel.

There will be an Earth Day Celebration at B'More SUP, where you can enjoy a morning of yoga with paddling and essential oils, then yoga on dry land. Oils will be offered during the class and samples are free to take home.

If you wish to celebrate Earth Day by keeping the land around us clean, head on down to Federal Hill Preparatory School for a spring cleanup where you can add more greenery to the area.

Canton Ace Hardware is holding a sale for their entire store on Earth Day weekend and an outdoor gardening event where you can get gardening tips.

Attend a BreakAway Flow style class at BreakAway Yoga Studio to connect with the earth through dance. The sequence you learn will be intended to ground you and connect you to earth as we transition to Spring.

Head on down to Holt Center for the Arts for an Earth Day Cleanup! Spend two hours on Sunday picking up litter and invasive items to keep our home clean.

The group Every Day Should Be Earth Day is organizing a cleanup with Parks and People on the 16th. Spend the day cleaning up Patterson Park and enjoying the provided food and drinks.

Take a tour through the Linganore Winecellars, where they prioritize sustainability and eco-friendly practices. Taste some wine while also learning and shopping from local vendors at this Earth Day Celebration.

Happy Earth Day

We hope you have fun celebrating Earth Day and continue to practice sustainable, green living.
