This August is Gonna Work Out
Looking to get active outdoors?

Inner Harbor Kayak Tours
Soak up some Vitamin D every Sun-day. Starting August 8th, experienced paddlers can kayak the inner harbor every Sunday. From 9:00 a.m. until noon, or 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., kayakers will witness the Torsk submarine, the U.S.S. Constellation, and Mr. Trash Wheel on a guided tour. Tickets are $20/person. Kayaks, paddles, and life vests are included in the ticket price.

Lunchtime Yoga
Every Wednesday until September 29th, Namaste with Natalie is hosting free lunchtime yoga classes in Center Plaza, from noon until 1:00 p.m. Remember to bring a mat and water.

Hands on HIIT
@katecookfit and Baltimore’s Cleaning Crew are teaming up on Sunday, August 22nd, at Canton’s Waterfront Park. From 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., Kate Cooke will host a 30-minute full-body workout. Afterward, patrons will help beautify Baltimore and clean up. It’s important to care for our local community, environment, and ecosystems. So, come raise awareness for litter pollution. Oh, and did we mention that there’s a happy hour afterward?

No ticket purchase is necessary. Instead, it is strongly encouraged that all participants donate $10-$20. These donations will go towards environmental activism and the movement's efforts. Bee the change.

Everything’s Gonna Brie Alright...
Because Stacey Vaughan is hosting the best Charcuterie Class. For $85/ticket, patrons will learn how to carefully arrange and prepare charcuterie boards, all whilst sampling Mobtown’s brews and drafts. Vaughan, too, will educate patrons on the perfect food and drink pairings. At the end of the class, everyone will take home their made charcuterie boards with 3-4 different cheeses and 2-3 meats.

So, come take it cheesy on Saturday, August 14th, from 4:30 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., at Mobtown Brewing Co.

Take this August with a Grain of Salt
But, also, with a slice of lime and some tequila. That’s right, stop by and enjoy these Happy Hours.

Let’s Science Happy Hour
On Friday, August 27th, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., the Maryland Science Center is hosting a “Let’s Science” Happy Hour. For $20/ticket, patrons will learn more about Dutch Courage, a local gin-centric bar. They, too, will sample a delicious cocktail and mingle on a rooftop patio with stunning harbor views. Tickets are available for purchase online.

Celebrate Black Authors
Andrea Jones is coordinating a Black Authors Book Expo at the Baltimore War Memorial on Friday, August 27th, at 11:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. During this free event, patrons will be inspired when meeting the authors and, also, listening to said authors read excerpts from their works. Additionally, please purchase items from your favorite Black authors to show your support.

Happy August!
We hope you enjoy the rest of your summer and hope to see you at our Anthem House resident events!
