kaitlin_pentzMany of you know Kaitlin Pentz as a familiar face that has been part of the Anthem House team since we opened our doors in May, 2017. Kaitlin has worked for Bozzuto for 4 years at communities in Owings Mills and Towson so she brings a lot of great experience to the Anthem House community. Learn more about Kaitlin and read why she loves working at Anthem House.

What is/are your favorite:

Movie: Christmas Vacation

Color: Purple

Food: Cheeseburgers

Animal: Giraffe, because there’s nothing wrong with being tall.

Sports Teams: I’m a huge Ravens fan. I spend every fall Sunday either at M&T Bank Stadium or in my living room supporting our birds!

What is your alma mater, and what did you study?

Robert Morris University; I studied Social Science with a concentration in Sociology.

Are you originally from Maryland? If not, where are you from, and what do you miss the most about your hometown?

I am Maryland born and raised. Originally, I am from Sykesville, MD out in Carroll County.

What was your most memorable moment as a member of your college lacrosse team?

I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to be a 4-year starter for my team and during my senior year, I became the winningest goalie (most career wins) in school history. That was a really cool feeling.

How have your experiences as an athlete and a team player helped you shape your work ethic at Anthem House?

In any athlete, you will find a person who is committed and passionate about what they’re doing, having that “never give up” attitude. I think that translates through my experience at Anthem House. We overcame challenges that can occur during the lease-up process, all while maintaining the ability to keep our residents happy and taken care of—and doing what it takes to make sure that happens. It’s also important to know how every member of your team works, how to build off their creativity, and how to help them achieve success for the greater good of the community. I work with a fantastic group of people who make it so easy to be a part of the Anthem House team.

What is your favorite part of the job?

I love getting to meet new people from different backgrounds with different experiences. People are by far the most fascinating thing on this planet.

How do you live your Anthem?

Life is short; Work hard, have fun, and try anything at least once!

Any advice for young professionals interested in working in this industry? If you’re looking for an ordinary desk job, this is anything but that. You have to be ready to adapt to whatever the day brings you—but that’s what makes the job exciting, every day is different.

If you see Kaitlin, be sure to say "hi" and let her know how you live your Anthem!
